WinterGems Puppy "Selections"
Two to Three Years: Retired Show Dogs
On ocassion I will place mature, retired show dogs to households that are better suited for an older pet. This also allows me to better evaluate individual personalities to best place them into their most ideal homes. My dogs come with "all-in-one" pricing so there are no extra expenses in purchasing your new pet. No hidden surprises like shipping, purchasing their crate, spay/neuter, etc.
These dogs are usually between a year and a half to four years old, have lead exciting show careers (many with championships and working titles to their credit), and some may have contributed to my breeding program. These companions are more mature, have been socialized and used to travel, fully house-trained, and are very comfortable on leashes. These companions are ideal (and reserved) for quiet households, families with young children, or retired individuals. Placement starts when these show-companions are young allowing their future families to have input into their development and can monitor their future pet's achievements until it is time for their pet to go to their forever home.
Retired Show Compaions Are:
1.) Spayed/Neutered: to ease the financial burden for my owners and to assist in responsible pet ownership. They are spayed/neutered under my veterinarian's guidance.
2.) Microchipped and Fully Vaccinationed: they arrive with their complete vaccination records to provide to your vet (includes rabies and all boosters up to date!). Your companion is also identified with the CKC with a unique microchip. If your pet is ever lost, one quick scan and the shelter/vet to find them will know where their rightful owner is.
3.) Obedience Trained: sit, come, down, and walking politely on a leash.
4.) Socialization/BioSensor Lessons: as puppies they are introduced to a wide variety of situations to ensure they are well balanced household companions. Puppies raised with the BioSensor Program are more able to cope with stress, easier to train, and are healthier (program developed by the military to assist in training service dogs - proven to help smarter puppy development). As adults, these companions have lead exciting lives that had them in contact with different people, animals, and settings making them virtually 'bomb proof' and easy to settle into new environments quickly.
5.) Crate Trained: companion dogs arrive with their own crate that they are used to sleeping in as adults. This ensures an easier transition to your home (crate accepted by Air Canada).
6.) CKC Registered and 3 Generation Pedigree.
7.) From Canadian and European Championship Bloodlines: parents are carefully health screened to ensure your puppy has the best chance at a full, healthy life.
8.) Food and Training Information.

9.) Championship Certificates, Achievements, and Titles Earned Paperwork. Confirming your pet's distinguished show career as well as selected awards they have achieved.
10.) 24 Hours a Day - Seven Days a Week Breeder Support: day or night I am available to answer all of your puppy questions. If I don't have the answer - I will find it!
11.) Shipping within Canada (to major cities and most remote regions), where Air Canada flies. Outside of Canada shipping is available.
And the knowledge everything has been done to ensure your puppy is off to the best start possible and that your puppy comes from a breeder that loves and cares for their dogs in their home.
